Alvin Devon McKoy

Alvin Devon McKoy, age 66 of 1132 Apple St., Burlington, NC passed on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Of Greensboro.

Mr. Alvin Devon McKoy was born on December 18, 1952 and departed this life on May 3, 2019. Alvin, as we all knew him as "Al", was born in Lee County to the late James McKoy and Ethel Rush McKoy.

He was educated at Governor Morehead School and attended Rock Spring Baptist Church in his earlier years.

It can be hard to strike up a conversation with a stranger, not so with Alvin, he never met a stranger, he had the natural ability to begin conversations and really enjoyed talking with people and he loved to have fun.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three children, LaDonya Jeffery's (Percell) of Burlington,  NC, Waleed Dortech (Kelly) of Katt, TX, and James Winston of Durham, NC; two sisters, Joyce McKoy, and Symertee Richardson of Sanford NC; thirteen grandchildren; four brothers, Bennie McKoy (Bevery), Randy McKoy, James Harold McKoy of Sanford, NC, and Larry McKoy of Pennsylvania as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He now joins his mother, father and brother, Jimmy McKoy.
