Alma Lucille McLean

Alma Lucille McLean, age 87 of 29 Lois Ln Hwy 42, Holly Springs, NC  passed on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Alma Lucille McLean was born on October 5, 1930 in Chatham County to the late Mr. Lemuel and Mittie Harrington. Her earthly journey ended on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at her home.

“Alma” had a heart of compassion which was evident in the way she showed love to those close to her and especially to children. Her friendly disposition and outgoing personality allowed her to never meet a stranger.

She loved her family dearly and had a special bond with her nieces. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and had a very special bond with Daphine Cameron who she often referred to as her daughter.

She was preceded in heavenly transition by her husband, Mr. Fred McLean; son, Thurman Lee Harrington; sisters, Martha Hooker, Joanna Harrington, and Beatrice Harrington; brothers, Johnnie Harrington and Wade Harrington and grandson, Thurman “Munchie” Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Dallas Eugene Harrington of Cameron, NC and Everette Morris McLean of the home; one brother, Nelson Quick of Sanford, NC; three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
