Vickie Regina Currie

Ms. Vickie Regina Currie, age 54 of 1330 Ephesus Church Rd. Apt. 3, Chapel Hill, NC passed on Monday, November 20, 2017 at her residence.

Vickie Regina Currie of Chapel Hill, NC was born February 21, 1963 to the late Henry Mitchell and Annie Currie. She received her wings and ascended into our Lord Jesus Christ’s arms on November 20, 2017 after a short illness of Cancer.

Vickie graduated from Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, NC.  She worked at K &W cafeteria for many years until her health failed. She enjoyed family, laughter and good food. Also, she enjoyed college basketball, a true diehard UNC Tar Heel fan.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters: Victoria Currie, Michelle Hodges and NaToshia Hodges; five sons: Leon Currie, Lavontae Currie, Vernon Hodges Jr., Kashun Hodges and Victor Hodges; grandchildren: Jeremiah Williams (deceased), Renee Williams, Vernon Hodges III and Varek Hodges; four sisters: Lynda Currie of Chapel Hill, NC, Sharon Currie of Chapel Hill NC, Emma Alston (Eric) of Garner, NC and Eleanor Currie of Chapel Hill, NC; two brothers: Jerry Currie (deceased) and Willie Currie (deceased). She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
