How are you Mr. and Mrs. Singleton,

I am Jaice Roberts, a friend of Thaj. Thaj and I use to spend nights at each others houses in 7th grade. You took Thaj and I to Golden Corral and a party; which was a memory I will not forget. I moved from Durham and Thaj and I wasn't in contact with each other in years, but I'd check in on him from time to time. It took some time for me to find out about his death, but honestly, he'll always be there for me. During my middle school years, he wasn't only my bestfriend, but a role model. Thaj taught me so much in three years. I hated the fact that I had to move and Thaj and I couldn't keep encouraging each other to be great anymore. We use to talk about opening businesses, what we wanted to do in life and how it was going to be when we had a wife and so for. Even without social media accounts, I always had a way to get in touch with Thaj. We claimed each other as brothers. I had a dream about Thaj and it was good seeing him; he motivates me. I'll never forget my brother; i'm so use to calling him out of the blue. I just hate how I didn't know he passed away, but it's okay. It's crazy how someone can still have an role in your life even after years of absents. Thaj really did teach me a lot; I still couldn't get my waves like his or skateboard, but he tried, lol. I remember once Thaj and I went to the State Fair and went to see Paranormal Activity 4 the night it came out. Also, I remember Thaj spent the summer with me in Henderson and he didn't have a way back home. (which at that age we looked at it as fun). We have a lot of stories; I smile when I think of them. I wish Thaj and I would've went to High School together. I started applying myself and got into college. When he told me he was rapping, I didn't believe him. I have videos on YouTube of some skits Thaj and I made when we were in middle school; they're hilarious. I was always embarrassed by them because I can't recover my youtube channel, but i'm happy they are still up. It's funny, you know? I can make a movie about things I've learned from Thaj. I remember him having big goals and wanting to do a lot. He is kind of why I started apply in school. I wish I knew how he did in High School when we got separated. It's no telling where he or I would be right now as of intelligence. We use to feed off of each other. I miss him, but he's really always by myside. I just wanted to reach out to his family and say I miss and love you guys. I can write a book about Thaj and I stories; boy that would be a best seller.
Yours Truly,
Jaice Roberts

May you find comfort and strength in knowing that God loves you and he cares for you, through talking to God in prayer, and from God's Word, the Bible. Psalm 36:7 says: "How precious your loyal love is, is O God! In the shadow of your wings, the sons of men take refuge". Psalm 62:8 "Pour out your hearts before him. God is a refuge for us". My heart goes out to the family of this young man, Thaj L. Singleton, please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 34:18; Psalm 147:3) jw.org

Dear Singleton Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Times like this can be very difficult to deal with. At times, you may feel like there is no one to turn to. You may even feel like no one understands your pain. But there is one person we can turn to that can help us through all of our trials. Yes, God can help you during this difficult time. Pray to him constantly and he will help you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 Isa. 26:19)
