John Joseph Stevens

Mr. John J. Stevens, age 48 of 813 Falcon Rd., Lillington, NC passed on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Central Harnett Health in Lillington, NC.


John was a talented man who could fix just about anything. He was a self employed carpenter but his passion was hardwood floors. He spent his life helping people realize their home improvement dreams with his carpentry skills. John had a smile that could light up a room, and continued to captivate a crowd with his storytelling.

John is survived by his brother, Michael Stevens and his children Michael, Haileigh, and Lawson, of Lillington NC, and his sisters, Jennifer Marshburn and her husband Barry and her children, Cheyenne and Jessica, of Sanford, NC, Christine Pascoe and her husband Daniel and their children Tyler and Holly, of Southbury, CT and Susan Grimes and her husband Craig and their children Madison and Aidan, of Middlebury, CT. John was predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Pate.

 A local service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 6 p.m. at the home of his sister at 4599 Barbecue Church Road, Sanford, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held for John on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 in Connecticut.
