My deepest condolences to the Jones family,
May you find some comfort in the Gift that the Most High God has given us, yes His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16).
I would like to share a few Scriptures that helped us to cope when our precious daughter died and recently my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death from Pancreatic cancer: (Isaiah 25:8)swallow up death, (Isaiah 33:24)no more sickness, (John 5:28, 29)seeing loved ones again, (2Corinthians 1:3). Yes, God can comfort us, to deal with present situations. But, He also says where we can see our loved ones again at Psalms 37:11 and how long Psalms 37:29.
I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.

So very sorry to hear of your lost. May the scriptures bring you comfort. The bible gives us an assured hope. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4 are wonderful scriptures for us to meditate on in this time of saddness
