Jennie Bell Chalmers

Jennie B. Chalmers, age 91 of 16084 US HWY 421 Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Keller's Oak Haven Rest Home, Sanford, NC. 

God called his devoted angel Jennie Bell Chalmers at the age of 91, at 5:00 AM Tuesday morning April 3rd 2018 from Oakhaven Retirement home in Sanford NC.

Jennie was born January 15,1927, she was the daughter of the late Royal Foster Murchinson, Georgeanna Murchinson, and Mary Beatty Murchinson (step mother). Being, one of ten children she was proceed in death by her 9 siblings. Bessie Monroe, Vate Murchinson, Nettie McCauley, Selma Buie, Mildred Dowdy, Grace Johnson, Tim Murchinson, Thomas Murchinson, and Daniel Murchinson.

Jennie was married to the late Marvin R. Chalmers.

Jennie was educated in Lee County, she graduated from cosmetology school, married and left to live in New York. She later moved back to North Carolina to take care of her father, which is where she remained furthering her craft as a Certified Nurse Assistant, helping countless of other families with their loved ones.

Jennie joined Pilgrims Rest Church at a young age, and later became a devoted member of True Gospel United Church of God, where she served on the usher board, missionary board, and sang in the choir. Jennie had a favorite song that she loved to sing, "Lay your hands on me Jesus"

Jennie was a giver she would help anyone that she could. She always had a great love of animals, traveling, and cooking.

Left to Cherish her loving memories is her only son, Jeffrey Dwayne Chalmers (Tracy Chalmers) of Sanford NC; two grandchildren, Tashannda Clemens (Kori Clemens) of Lillington NC and Jessica Drayton (Clarence Drayton) of Durham NC; two great grandchildren, Armani Sellers and Kamryn Clemens; a special nephew, Pastor Billie Buie (Jeanette) of Goldston NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
