Fletcher Earl Rogers

Mr. Fletcher Rogers, age 75 of 2800 Brookhaven Drive, Sanford, NC passed on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his residence.

Fletcher Earl Rogers, the beloved son of the late Fletcher Carl and Estelle McNair Rogers was born on January 17, 1942 in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Fletcher was a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all and sadly succumbed on November 2, 2017 after an extended illness.

Fletcher attended Moore County Public Schools and graduated from West Southern Pines High School in 1962. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He later served in the Vietnam War. Fletcher faithfully worked for Hallman Foundry Inc. for over 36 years and retired several years ago. Fletcher attended Outreach Ministries until his health failed.

Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher Carl Rogers and Estelle McNair Rogers; two wives, Gladys Hill Rogers and Scottie Mae Tyson Rogers; one daughter, Mary Louise McLaughlin; two brothers, Harold Rogers and Richard Rogers; two sisters, Virginia Rogers McDonald and Myrtle Rogers Burns.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Terry W. Hill (Patricia); one daughter, Melinda Hill Hooker (Ceason); one son-in-law, Donald McLaughlin; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Otis Rogers of Southern Pines, North Carolina; two sisters, Annette Davis of Hampstead, New York and Edna J. Rogers of Baltimore, Maryland; several brothers, sisters-in-law, a devoted niece and caregiver, Helen McAuley, a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
