Evelyn (Percell) Morgan

Mrs. Evelyn Percell Morgan, age 81 of 206 Talley Ave., passed on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Evelyn Percell  Morgan was born January 30, 1936 to the late Evelyn Percell in Sanford, NC. She received her eternal wings on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home.

Evelyn attended W.B. Wicker and the Lee County School system for her education. Due to trying to take care of her family she was not able to complete high school and get her diploma.  She began to work to take care of her family. She worked at Cornell Dubaleir until they relocated and later was employed at McDuffs Dry Cleaners and  Fairview Dairy Bar.

Later in life she met the love of her life and married the late Mr. Hugh Ellis Morgan.

Evelyn enjoyed sitting at home reading and watching TV and spending time with her pets. She loved cooking and fellowshipping with friends and family. You could always find her at the round table in the kitchen where she was laughing and talking. If you over stayed your welcome she will let you know.

She was preceded in by husband Mr. Hugh Morgan; three sons, Bryant Morgan , Roger Morgan and Dwight Morgan; two grandsons, Ellis Bryant Jr. and Dwight Morgan Jr.; three siblings, Willie Bell, Margaret Byrd and James Percell; one aunt that raised her, Margaret Percell.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Johnie Faye Small, Sandra Ingram and Sharon Foxx (Bernard) all of Sanford, NC; three sons, Leo Percell, Clifton Percell and Christopher Small all of Sanford, NC; elven grandchildren, twenty six  great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
