Erma Druzella Reaves

Erma Druzella Reaves, age 56 of 95 Pinecrest Drive Goldston, NC passed on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her residence. 

Erma Druzella Reaves Thompson was born on January 21, 1961 in Siler City, North Carolina to the late, Peggy Reaves Brower and the late Romie Lee Dowdy.  She was called from labor to rest on January 18, 2018 at her home in Goldston, North Carolina.

Erma joined Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church at an early age and re-dedicated her life to Christ in 2008. She sang with the Macedonia Senior Choir.  Much like her mother, she loved beautiful things like jewelry, clothes, and hair.  Erma also loved her family and her car.  Family meant everything to her. Though she was set in her ways, she made sure she told her family that she loved them.   Erma and her daughter were inseparable. 

Erma had such a sweet nature.  She could give light to a dark situation. That is what she did on her job as a Certified Nursing Assistant, which she chose as her career. She had a sincere passion for helping people. Her heart was so full of joy and a spirit of giving. She was currently employed by Parkview in Sanford, North Carolina.

In addition to her mother and father, Erma was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Johnson.

She leaves to cherish treasured memories; her husband; Lewis Thompson, Goldston, NC; her daughter; Iesha Johnson, (Ernest), Sanford, NC, three brothers; Timothy Reaves (Fatima) of Fayetteville, N.C.,  Romie Lee Dowdy, of the home, and Steve Reaves; Sanford, NC;  three aunts; Dorothy Hall of Staton Island, New York, Josie Reaves of Siler City, NC, and Mary Cheek of Goldston, NC; her soul mate Michael Johnson, two nieces;  Kyuana Thompson (Jimmy  Jr.) of Goldston NC, and Kaprice Reaves of Fayetteville, N.C.; one nephew Timothy Reaves Jr. (Glenda) of Greensboro NC; a special sister-in-law, Rosita Reaves, and a very dear cousin, Anita Haith of Greensboro, NC; her god children Shanika Barrett, Kaitiana Turner, Yasmeen McDonald, and Malika Harris, and a host other cousins and friends.
