Carolyn Ann (Bethea) Cagle

Carolyn Ann Bethea Cagle, age 69, of 327 Maple Ave., Sanford, NC passed on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, NC.

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Bethea Cagel the daughter, of the late James amd Mable Bethea was born on July 27, 1948 and transitionioned into glory on September 6, 2017.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Jim and Bobby Bethea and four sisters: Evelyn Bethea, Shelia Bethea, Joyce Bethea and Patricia McQueen.

Carolyn also affectionately known as "Aunt Ruth" to many grew up in Lemon Springs area.  She was employed with the Lee County School System for more than 35 years.  She was a faithful bus driver to many and many good stories were told by the kids she transported to and from school, whom she treated as her very own.  She was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of Dr. Julia Harris, where she served in many capacities.

She leaves to cherish her special memories: Mr. Gregory Bethea of Milwaukee, WI and one daughter, Mrs. Lisa Scott of Broadway, NC; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Minister Annie Bethea of Sanford, NC and Mrs. Carolyn Smith (Donnie) also of Sanford, NC.  And a host of neices, nephews and friends.
