Brenda Ann (Ellerby) Goldston

Mrs. Brenda Ann Goldston, age 70 of 1161 Taylor's Chapel Church Rd., Sanford, North Carolina passed on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro, North Carolina after a lengthy illness.

Brenda Ann Ellerby Goldston was born June 9, 1947  to the late Leroy and Myrtle Ellerby in Chatham County, North Carolina.

Brenda married Jimmy Ray Goldston, April 4, 1970 in Benntsville, SC.  She attended J.S, Waters High School and Central Carolina Community College and received her degree in  Cosmetology.  She received numerous awards and recognition.

Brenda spent over 30 years as a cosmetologist in the local area and established lifelong friends and clients.  She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, R& B music from the 60's and a good cookout.

Brenda joined Taylor's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church as a young child and attended faithfully until her health declined in recent years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Leroy and Myrtle Ellerby; her grandparents: Harvey and Mary Etta Taylor and great grandchild: Na'Shawn Spencer. She was preceded by many other relatives that there are to numerous to name, but we are confident they are rejoining in their heavenly reunion.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 47 years, Jimmy Ray Goldston of the home; a two sons,  Danny Goldston  (Regina) of Fredricksburg, VA and Angelo Goldston of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Tieasha M. Spencer, Danny L. Goldston, Branden D. Goldston,  Angelo (Aj) Goldston and Arira Goldston; great grandchildren: Tavoris R. Richardson and Tyasia R. Spencer; siblings: Doris Palmer of Taylor's Chapel, NC; Jesse Ellerby (Linda) of Sanford, NC, Deborah Ellerby of Taylor's Chapel, NC, David Ellerby (Dale) of Sanford, NC and Linda Ellerby of Sanford, NC; in-laws: Mabel McLeod, Lessie Staton (W.L.); Edward Lee Goldston (Latima), E.P. Goldston (Stella) and Richard Goldston (Pam) and a host of other relatives family and friends.
