Ben Romero

Ben Romero, age 56 of 40 Wind Tree, Sanford, NC passed on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Mr. Ben Romero was born in Liberal Kansas on April 5, 1961 to the late Benito and Ruth Romero. He departed this life on August 19, 2017.

Ben graduated from Greeley County High in Kansas.

Ben enjoyed life to the fullest, full of energy, full of laughter, was always there to lend a helping hand, always made a point to make someone smile… he was determine to get it right. He was just a joy to be around and met no strangers. His heart belonged to children. Most of the time he acted like a child, so playful, always joking, saying something funny, some not so funny (to me anyway).

Ben worked hard as a truck driver for over 40 Years. He was an Owner operator for over 15 years. Mostly an over the road driver, traveling in and out of all states.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benito and mother, Ruth Romero; and sister, Joyce Romero.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Beverly Denise Romero of the home; five children: Ben Eric, Kenneth, of Colorado, Zach ( LuLu), of Washington State, Reginald and Angela (Charles) of Broadway NC; his grandchildren, Zack, Angel, Leticia, Daryn, Jaden; his brothers, Rubel (Maria Mayela), Leroy, of Liberal KS and David Romero of OK; sisters: Rosemary, Liberal KS, and Paula Hutchinson, of KS, sisters-in-law: Martha (Fred), Rachel (Craig), Natalie (Anthony); brothers-in-laws, Dale and Stephen; one great grandchild, Amiyah and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the list goes on and on...
